This is not the first time I've known this. Back in 2004, a now defunct coach hire company in Fife had an open topper, and it went along Dunniker Road in Kirkcaldy, and passed the last turn, taking him along to Roseberyy Terrace, and instead carried on to try and get to the traffic lights, under an 11' 6" bridge, resulting in massive damage. The bus, a Bristol VRT boguht from Stagecoach Fife in 1997, was a write off. The firm folded soon afterwards.

Strangely named company. Care to expand because it doesn't seem strange to me ??
I think it's a very peculiar name personally, but it's just my opinion that the name is a bit odd.

Only confusing bit is the pronunciation!
I believe its "Ray's" rather than what I expected (RE-ay's)

That was my exact thought. When I saw the pictures (before I found this thread) my first thought was "what a peculiar name for a company. I wonder how on earth you go about pronouncing that. If it's how it's spelt then that would be a very odd thing to say."

The best way to explain how its pronounced is the following, REARS. Not raays as most people try to say it.

Hope that explains it!!

The 'Mighty Horse Ledge' is on its way back from the body shop as a full open topper now. Will post a picture later.

PX12CNZ/COH/COJ/COU were the 4 new Enviro 200s out yesterday. Still got Primos on my local Reays route, though :(.

This advert suggests the name is pronounced Re-ays. It is only mentioned once, in the last few seconds.

Oh dear - Im slightly worried about the quality of vehicles used then, as that bus seems to have a severe problems. It's suspension seems to be rather bouncy, and the wheels don't appear to the connected to the bus.

Is that Olympian by any chance, ex Southern Vectis / Go Ahead?
