Apologies if this is covered elsewhere; did a quick search without success.

Do Chiltern still only charge £10 on certain 'Business Zone' services. I know they have done previously, but the website gives conflicting information in different sections, and I remember a report saying they were axing the reduced upgrade and making every service £20.

Anyone know for sure about this? Help appreciated

It still says £10 on their website for 1tpd in each direction. They may remove it in the future, they may not

A £20 supplement is required per journey to travel in the Business Zone. Business Zone is not first class, and any standard class ticket is valid with a Business Zone supplement, which can be purchased with your ticket (if booking at a station) or simply upgraded onboard.

On the 0837 train from London to Birmingham and the 1555 service from Birmingham to London, the Business Zone supplement will be just £10.

Elsewhere, however, it makes no mention of this and simply states that £20 is payable. Hmmmm

I assume 1st class PRIVs are not accepted in the Business zone as it is not first class?

Is there a PRIV discount on the supplement.

It's not First Class, so First Class tickets alone aren't accepted.

No Priv discount on the supplement. Tried that one without success!

Dont know about that, but First Class All Line Rovers are.

Is that official? Conflicts with previous advice I've had from Chiltern!

According to this page, Business Zone upgrades are £10 Off-Peak (0837 and 1337 ex-Marylebone, 1055 and 1555 ex-Birmingham) and £20 Peak (1646 and 1807 ex-Marylebone, 0619 and 0655 ex-Birmingham).

At launch, the only exemption from paying the supplement was for passengers holding undiscounted interavailable First Anytime Singles and Returns (i.e. tickets priced by Virgin in the main), but I don't know if that still applies.
