Anyone go for this?

Just found out I've got an interview on Tue 28 Aug.

If successful, I'd complete this role alongside my current job.

At their last interviews for this job, the panel was:
1 from ATW HR and 1 from the Arriva Road Transport unit.

In 2010, despite interviewing for these positions in Chester, England, an HR manager from ATW asked candidates if they spoke Welsh, which is pretty unfair as their job advert made no mention of it. I hear they no longer do this.

They are looking for - you own road transport to and from site at funny hours. Experience of managing disruption. Experience of calling / dealing with both a TOC's Control and the bus operators. Knowledge of rail network.

Well I know nobody else went for this, or cares, but I was successful :) as mentioned above I'll complete the role alongside my current job and hope it acts as a foot in the door to move onto bigger and better things.

Hey, well done & good luck. I'm still waiting to here back about a similar position for First Rail Support. Did they give any indication about how many shifts you're lightly to get?

They were very clear that they couldn't promise work every weekend. They did say during special events they may want you t do 3-4 full days at one location though.

I asked about committment to a certain number of shifts, as I'm still in a different FT job, and was told there's no obligation. Even after 12 months without a shift, they won't get rid of you - apparently.

Also, TOCs can specify certain staff so it might be hard to get into a certain location if there is a regular who the TOC are happy with. Some TOCs manage rail replacement a lot more tightly than others so your experience may vary!
