Nice one. A local line for me. I used to travel on it to school everyday. Now I work next to it too. 170's galore. :reindeer::reindeer:

I can not helping feeling that this is an opportunity lost rather than spend time re doing the Glasgow to Edinburgh line I thought a better project would have been to update Kerr's Scottish Central route as I feel that it is already a good true to life reproduction of the real thing & the only thing lets it down is the lack of scenery & proper station building on the fife & strathclyde sides of the route .

I am sure this could have been possible for Making Tracks as we are all aware that Kerr is now a member of the MT team , I appreciate that with the arrival of Rail Sim imminent they have to strike while the MSTS iron is still hot & most likely don't want to get involved in another massive project along the lines of GE or IE , But in this case most of the ground work has been done.
As from a travellers point of view Glasgow Queen st to Edinburgh is quite a bland run, to be honest even before I had ME I used to be a sleep before the train got to Lenzie when coming from Glasgow::tongue9:

Pete, MT, as I'm sure you know, are doing this because it was an aspiration of Dale's... Scottish Central and Scottish Capital Express are in two very different eras, as well...

There is also the fact that with new simulators in production, MT felt that it may not be worth working on a large MSTS project. Currently there is this and Enterprise 2 still to go, along with their stock packs.

AFAIK this was Kerr's route. They have made it a commercial product. The reason it is so short, is because thats all the area that was scenerised I believe, before Kerr moved onto making Great Eastern.

Well as far as I know The lines to Glasgow were not scenerised even once Linlithgow is passed No tress, No Background building, No Station buildings or No Station names.
But What it will lose in my opinion is the Forth Bridge

Lets hope we have some Voyager or Pendo activities! But it is looking good so far! I also see they are showing off the 444 through the top of the website pictures!

I think your Missing the Point Its along the same lines as their Other two Big Routes LSE & GE trying to recreate the age when real trains ran on Britain's rails

The product is not associated with Scottish Central as it is a whole new route. It's not losing the Forth Bridge as it was never there to start with ;)

A few more images of the route can be found in the MT newsletter.
