For the list of units in Greater Anglia Livery, please see this thread:

http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=15650

The old list here was really out of date and I no longer have time to update it so please post updates to the linked thread, and use this one for discussion of GA's various liveries.

The East Coast 43/91/DVT Livery List thread has inspired me to do the same for Greater Anglia's 90, DVT & Regional DMU fleets. I hope people find this a useful resource to make sense of the multitude of liveries in East Anglia.

...........

I hope people find this useful if they are going spotting at Norwich, or just want to see how many liveries exist in this colourful part of the country. Thanks to flickr for the photos. Thanks for having a look :P

Adam :D

Thank you Adam! Some great pics.

The 'colour scene' is further enhanced at Norwich by the EMT 158's, DRS 37/47 etc on rescue standby / GY drag duty.
And in the last few months we had the late lamented ATW 150 and further back the LM 153's, EWS 90's (inc. FSR livery).
And finally the occasional gronk from Crown Point.

It was worse a few weeks into the One Franchise, I remember a loco rake going around with about five different liveries on it, Even a few weeks ago there was a 12 car 321 going around with three a different livery on each unit whilst I remember WAGN had about five or six variations at the start of ONE.

Where will I have any chance of seeing some of the Anglia liveried 170s? I'd like to see them/ride in one! And great thread by the way, very useful.

GA's 170s work the routes from Ipswich to Peterborough, Ipswich to Cambridge and Norwich to Cambridge. All three of which pass through Ely, so that's your best bet of finding one in the shortest time.

They also do some services on the branchlines in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Generally speaking, 3 car units (170201-170208) operate Ipswich to Peterborough, Norwich to Cambridge and some Ipswich to Lowestoft service, while 2 car units (170270-170273) operate Ipswich to Cambridge services.

I've started to see 3 car units working the Ipswich to Cambridge route. They are also to long for the platform at Newmarket Station :s

Sensible. Doesn't really matter how long you make the trains on that route, there's always scope at Newmarket for extending the working platform!

Does anyone know the full order that 156s will be repainted in? I know 156422 is at Wolverton now, and that 156417 will be repainted last, followed by 153314.

I did have the order in which they're going but I can't find it. I'll do some more digging tomorrow. 419 isn't the last to go... 417 is.

I meant 417, I knew it was the one in the Sudbury Crash because it has only just had an exam done on it (although it has the worst paintwork due to a vinyl being poorly removed). I always mix up 417 with 419. I shall edit my previous post accordingly. If you could find that I would be very grateful indeed. Thanks dude. :)

I got a nice ride on 170 273 on the way home from the MNR multiple matters weekend, so got a photograph of it at night, also got 90 009 in it's special livery and the 150 unit from Norwich to lowestoft with college late at night, with our ukelele band providing a bit off music and we ended up in the same carriage as another group from the college.

Would have been 150280, on hire initially to NXEA and turned in to a rather long term loan and finally left us on August 10 of this year. Further details see [thread]69105[/thread], there are some other threads about.

Ah yes, I was wondering If they had had another more recently. I went to Sheringham on 150280, having the no-smoking announcements in Welsh was very strange as it cantered through the Norfolk countryside.

Get the CT Liveried 156's in whilst you can. 156422 is at Wolverton for refirb & relivery. Its due back to Norwich in late January, when 156412 is due to go.

It will be a shame to see the end of CT livery, it is a wonderful colour scheme. Hopefully 156418 is one of the last to go.

On a related note - what was the last vehicle in the franchise remaining in the old Anglia Railways livery, and when was it reliveried?

Isn't there some 170's still in a version of Anglia Railways livery? It'd be the two car sets 170270, 271, 272, 273. If that is some other livery it'd be one of the 153's.
