The use of Trident based Enviro400s by Morecambe on the 40/41 has increased in recent weeks. Both 10029 & 10031 were noted at Preston Bus Station yesterday, with others having been seen during the past week or two.

Dart 33029 made an unusual appearance on the 150 Bamber Bridge route yesterday. I think a breakdown may have caused its short notice allocation.

The scania`s are up for MOT or going for repaint so thats why you`ll see the unbranded enviro`s on the 40/41.

16668 has been withdrawn due to a cracked chassis, 16645 is coming from carlisle to replace it.

As Jonesy mentioned a while back ME have now changed the format of their blinds so the text and number is smaller and the via points change (they don't scroll just flick between two lines)

Personally I think the text is too small but nice to have a change I guess!

Everything else is normal, ME seem to be totally consistent now lol.

Lancaster 16668 is being replaced by 16645 due to chassis problems on 16668. Also Lillyhall's 47616 is at Kendal for MOT work this weekend due to return early next week.

So Chorley are getting new Scanias for the 125 then? As far as I can remember, CY have 22 Scanias at the moment. I wonder where they will end up?

24 Scanias at Chorley now for 125, though as 2 were new last year on 62 plates, I can't see them being replaced just yet.

If (and its a very big if), those 22 Scanias are for Chorley, then I can see quite a few of the 59 plates transferring to Preston for 68 etc....

22 Scanias in Preston would see off all their ALX400s, some E400s and probably the 3 darts?

I would guess at Gillmoss for some of the E400s, to replace their ex-London Tridents maybe?

The 9 new Scania's that are due, all of which are now in Preston Depot, are for Preston and will enter service following a launch in Preston during the 1st week in July. I am not aware of any other Scania's that will be on the move.

What ALX400 seems to be saying is that 22 Scans have been added onto this years order for Chorley meaning 22 current 125 Scans can be cascaded from Chorley to Preston.

Well done to whoever added the fleet numbers to the shiny 15682 I saw just now. Readable, and in a sensible place.

Might have been 15681 that has not long since come back from repaint.

Your link isn't working properly.

Information posted on Stagecoach website about the new Scania Enviro400s for Preston: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/serviceupdatedetails.aspx?Id=7751

We are pleased to announce our £1.5 million investment in brand new double deck buses for services 59 Preston - Blackburn and 61 Preston - Blackpool!

Featuring the latest 'Euro 5' clean engine technology and free WiFi on board, there's more reason to use the bus and enjoy the journey.

We're taking the new buses on tour, so you can see them before they go into service. More details will be on this page soon!

They'll probably park one on Preston Flag Market outside Harris Museum, or have no imagination and just park one at the bus station.

A couple of members have recently critised Reays timetable, claiming that they only operate on certain days. Well it would appear that Stagecoach are no better with this recent registration:-

PC0002407/375 - STAGECOACH (NORTH WEST) LTD T/A CUMBERLAND MOTOR SERVICES, SECOND FLOOR, BROADACRE HOUSE, 16-20 LOWTHER STREET, CARLISLE, CA3 8DA
Registration Accepted
Starting Point: The Glebe
Finish Point: The Glebe
Via:
Service Number: R1
Service Type: Normal Stopping
Effective Date: 22-JUL-2013
Other Details: Service operates Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays

So, if you want to catch a bus on a Tuesday or Wednesday, then forget it.

RML2671 passed its MOT today ;););)

The new 13 plate buses are out on the Blackpool to Preston 61 service today.

Just seems odd that the 68 service has 55 plate double deckers.

Once again, this proves that Kendal as the oldest buses.

But you have to remember that a good proportion of Kendal's work is schools, which means older vehicles. And the 6 OT Tridents don't exactly help the age either, but you can't just decapitate new vehicles....
