I understand that I will get free unlimited travel on MML but what of the 75% off other TOCS, can anyone tell me how it works?

Thanks

Martyn

On most other TOCs (except Strathclyde PTE services) you'll get 75% off the cost of a Standard Open Single or Return.

You can find the rules here.

In some cases, of course, it's cheaper to get an AP ticket than a priv, but the priv is a lot more flexible (though some trains are barred for privs - see here.)

And only SO's IIRC (except certain Rovers, covered in another thread.

You might find that some TOCs staff allow (unoficially) free travel if you ask them beforehand.

sorry to disappoint you but you wont get your boxes for free travel on other networks as this has been stopped for new starters since 1996(privatisation) and your 75% discount is not valid on scotrail services

NatEx group employees get a card with boxes valid for unlimited travel on the employer's services, together with travel on dated boxes on other NatEx services, as well as a Priv.

What do you mean? You can't buy any advance purchace, saver, cheap day or any similar products with a Priv.

With PRIV tickets - you can only purchase standard day or open tickets - as well as First Day or Open if you have a FC PRIV card.

just had a play around and I could get open ticket Leicester to B'mouth for £30 instead of £119 and Glasgow £48 from £189. not bad savings tbh!

VTXC *always* give free travel, in my experience. And VTWC *never* give free travel, in my experience.
