Glasgow Queen Street is being renovated just now. In the low level, they're taking away all the old yellow wall panels (and all the seats <()

This was underneath the yellow wall panels in the middle of the station. I thought it was interesting to see, since it's from a long-gone rail era. The lettering is obviously hand-painted.

Was this before Charing Cross was taken off the Jubilee Line? (Obviously before Queen Street was taken off the Jubilee).

No really, I'm joking.

That's a shame! I passed through recently and remarked on how good the yellow panels / seats looked. Obviously retro, but in looked good nick (from the train at least) and a nice bit of minimalist functionality. Reminiscent of Berlin somehow.
