I was listening to a bit of Weird Al Yankovic earlier and love his song parodies. Does anyone else like him? For those who have never heard his work the link below is one of my favourites

Until I saw this thread, I had never heard of him, but his rendition of this parody is done very well and in a easy-listening sort of way. It made me smile whilst listening to the lyrics.

I like his parodies

Yoda/Lola
The Saga Begins/American Pie
Gerry Springer/One week

are my particular favourites.

Not too keen on his obsession with Polka though.

I quite like "Skipper Dan", "One More Minute", as well as "Dare To Be Stupid". "Like a Surgeon" is his best music video imho.

Al totally nailed the sound of Crash Test Dummies in "Headline News" as well.

His rapping on White and Nerdy was astounding.

It's noteworthy that none of his parodies use backing tracks; he and his band record their own accurate renditions and also perform them live. I'm hoping to see him in concert before he stops...

Perhaps we should make this mandatory viewing for all forum members, it may increase the quality of some posts ;):D

"I could care less" seems to be an error of epidemic proportions in the USA, I've never heard anyone in the UK say that term (thankfully!)
