Haven't seen this posted elsewhere, but sorry if it has. FGW are currently trialling the availability of normal walk-up tickets through their app. M-Ticket is a fulfilment option on walk-up tickets in Devon and Cornwall with an origin or destination of Plymouth, but not an origin or destination of Exeter Central, Exeter St Davids or Truro. Is this the first time normal walk-up tickets have been available on a mobile?

So not valid to or from stations with a ticket barrier pretty much?

Chiltern launched them in April 2008 I believe!
Aren't Chilterns only available with a special Chiltern Only routing, but at the same price as normal? The FGW trial is for normal 'Any Permitted' walk-up fares so travel is permitted on other TOCs.

Yes that's better than what Chiltern offer - they offer Chiltern Only at the same price as Via High Wycombe. Unfortunately TVMs in London now offer Chiltern Only as a ticket to Birmingham Stns because of this :| .
