G'day everyone,

Just a thought but I have often wondered whether we should have a vote on here for 'Poster Of The Year'. Not for a cash prize or anything like that but just for the kudos.

Any thoughts on this would be welcomed!

Kind regards,

Richmond Commuter!

I think that there should really be a number of different awards,
Humourous
"Blue-Sky Thinking"
Informative
Ranty
Sarcastic

Awards will probably only be viable with some sort of "Thanks" plugin installed

I not there is no category for self-promotion or egotesticle, however self-nominating would be a key indication of eligibility.

It's almost a shame that Zoe and Beveridges have been banned, as they'd both be very strong contenders for most tedious member.

Oh, I thought I'd noticed a distinct lack of "Depot drivers are the holiest of all the staff" type posts.

Did somebody say something? Could have sworn I heard something from that dark corner over there.

Posters who's usernames are valid UK postcode areas

Paul Sidorczuk deserves kudos in my opinion for informative posts

As a relatively new member, I would second that, adding a new category 'concise and to-the-point'. A scholar and a gentleman, I'd say. Besides, it's nice to have someone on here even older than myself, who's actually heard of some pre-1970s cricketers, for instance.:)

Nono I think we have enough to warrant 'Most Pedantic Old Fogey' and 'Most Pedantic Young Whipper Snapper' ;)

In our most local rural area, we have a large number of the elderly "twin-set and pearls" sisterhood who are quite willing to educate our very own forum "whipper-snappers" in the art of "teaching one's grandmothers to suck eggs"...:D

I honestly thought this thread was going to be about posters not posters.

Four candles? Fork handles more like.

So which category does someone like myself fit into then? I'm definately too old to be a 'Whipper Snapper', but as I'm still on the sunny side of 40, I'm most definately not an 'Old Fogey'!

PS. I also nominate myself for the Sarcastic and Abusive award?

I'm nominating you for most mentions of Smart ticketing ;)

I reckon there's only about another 20-25 years to go and then I'll slow down my mentions, as ATOC will have finally rolled them out.

If there's a certificate, make sure it's written using a sharpie or there could be all sorts of accusations about tampering.
