There is not much else you can do with 16 points tbh.

Ah ha that's good to know appreciate the reply. I'll try and relax about it all.

Just replying here I have just tried to book my East Coast Reward ticket and the fares are now showing. So on this experience the Reward fares show up something like 2 days after the advances go on sale.

That's me done with Rewards now. Sad face.

I have a question for people who have previously redeemed East Coast Rewards tickets. I have one Reward ticket to book and although today I can book advance fare tickets on Thursday 4th June there are no £0 tickets showing. The latest date I can see £0 Reward availability is Friday 29th May. Does East Coast tend to hold back the availability of Reward tickets and is it likely £0 tickets will eventually turn up? Or if they are not available now will that continue to be the case? I realise there's nothing certain in the new Virgin East Coast world; I'm just wondering what has happened in the past.

They seem to have some serious gremlins at the moment, I did all the cookie / history delete, log out / log in on for a journey on the 22nd May.

First attempt I got the tickets, went through to paying (as I had a child as well) and it came back with "you don't have enough rewards". 2 hours later it accepted the card.

Try phoning them as well. Just to see if there are tickets, but I went through a lot of pain (and attempts to book this) - never experienced anything as bad in the past. But you could be trying multiple times I am afraid....

Glad you got there in the end.

I've got one free ticket left which I'm planning to use up in late June coming back from Edinburgh (probably going to Glasgow on the West Coast, hopefully fastest finger to score the limited number of cheap advances on the 7:30 direct rather than the 7:43 via Brum).

Only time now I will use the VTEC site is for booking VTEC services (assuming that VTEC has kept the same online discount for booking via them?)
