Just a bit of trivia - I happened to notice that yesterday's Bletchley to Brighton and return driver training run on 387s (573A) was shown on RTT as being 5E at Bletchley station then 485L at Leighton Buzzard! This is by far the greatest variation between two timing points I have ever seen - can you beat it (I'm sure someone can?!).

I vaguely recall a freight train being recessed for a full day once, possibly in the aftermath of Hatfield. Rather than terminate it "early" and put a new schedule in for the following day, they just left it as was, making it in excess of 1440 minutes late.

is it not the loop effect in that RTT gets confused by trains shuttling up and down the same bit of line?
