Crazy railcard question

So I currently have a 16-25 railcard (& very useful it is) but I've seen about the network railcard - which seems to cover pretty much everywhere accessible from Worthing. What I want to know is whether it's possible to hold both kinds of card & if so, what benefits that would give me. Thanks

You could have both. The only reason you'd want to is if you want to be able to take others with you and give them the same discount.

For clarity, what I meant by my previous post was that someone travelling on a Network Railcard can take up to three adults with them who may also travel on discounted tickets - it's not permissible to share any type of railcard

Unless you travel with others who do not hold a Railcard, I can't think of any benefits of a Network Railcard over 16-25.

Between me and my wife we hold 4 different Railcards, so yes it can be a benefit to have more than one!

That's not quite right. A Family & Friends Railcard may be issued to two adults, either or both of whom may use it to travel subject to a group minimum size of 1 adult + 1 child and maximum of 4 adults + 4 children.

Remember a Network Railcard has a £13 minimum fare (after the discount) on a weekday and it can't be used before 10am.

If buying one just so you can get a discount for others travelling with you a groupsave ticket may be better, depending on how many are travelling with you.

I'm pretty sure you know this really, but from the wording of your first post including the words 'pretty much everywhere accessible from Worthing', it looks as though you're unaware of the geographical limitations of the Network Railcard!

"Pretty much everywhere" probably excludes the small handful of FGW trains per day in the Worthing area which run onwards towards the West of England, etc.
