Am I right in thinking that a Travelcard counts as a zonal ticket for Section 19c splitting purposes?

If so, presumably I can't use my season ticket between Manchester and Stockport? (I am looking at splits for Manchester to Euston:D)

Don't see why not as long as the train stops at Stockport. You would be making two journeys; Manchester to Stockport with season and Stockport to Euston with a combination of NR ticket(s) and Travelcard.

If you remain on the same train then it's obviously one journey.
A season MAN-SPT and 'normal' tickets down to the Travelcard boundary, plus a Day Travelcard, would be fine on non-stopping trains.

The splitting requirement is that only one of your tickets is a season ticket. Nothing prevents the use of a combination of tickets including one season tickets and daily zonal tickets.
