Hey everyone
I was at Stratford (regional) Station today and saw a Class 315 in a white and blue unbranded livery.
Ive done a little search and not found anything on it.
It doesnt tie in with AGA's tube train livery so I wanted to see if anyone could enlighten me on this livery and what its for.
Im rarely in London these days so It could have been floating round for months and there could be more of them, but I only saw the one.

My guesses were maybe its for CrossRail, or maybe a demonstrator of some sort.

Thanks in advance anyway

It's the 'TfL rail' livery which is what pre-crossrail shenfield metro trains will be run under

It looks a lot smarter than the old livery! When I am in London I will definitely have to keep my eyes out for that.

Give it time. Apart from different coloured doors & bottom stripe, what's the big change?

The ones with blue on are loosing their pink interior too. No big changes really. As I've already put somewhere else:

801-817 are going to LOROL
818-861 are going to CrossRail.

with AGA seemingly accelerating repaints on the 317 fleet (and 321?) it'll hopefully become clearer which operator is which- with four (don't forget c2c) operators running white-liveried trains at Liverpool Street and Stratford

Just to make sure I've understood this correctly, this will apply from the start of the summer timetable, starting in less than a month's time?

I'm mostly interested so I know where to find the 315s I need next time I'm down that way. If it has been discussed elsewhere already I apologise but I haven't seen it!

Strangely TfL don't start operating until the 31st May. I can't remember why.

Its been like that since 2004! Close to the end of NXEA, there where still 321s in First Great Eastern and there are still 170s in Anglia Railways.

Slightly off topic, any clue when the new LO stock winner will be announced?

its true. Are there still units in the defunct "One" livery? 7 years after it ended?

NXEA decided on a pointless rebrand when they should have selected a good name to start off with! But they only repainted a few trains so it was bound to make things look messier. Absurdly the 317s were repainted despite some recently repainted into stansted express or 'one' liveries!

Whilst the majority of the 2-car anglia 170s remain untouched since they have been built!

Bit odd 'one' only reliveried the 3-car 170s! There were also central 156s running around till a year os so ago!

Of course AGA to do them credit were expecting a very short franchise since extended

Incidentally:
'one' 2004-2008
NXEA 2008-2012
AGA 2012-2016

Every four years since 2004 there has been a rebrand

Oh yeah AGA rebranded their trains from Greater Anglia to Abellio Greater Anglia with a new logo as well during 2013/4 including Stansted Express which has seen multiple branding changes in the last ten years!!

Srangely the trains are plainer than ever as the new AGA branding is only applied to the front and rear coach of any train on the 'ghost' units

As to WAGN Anglia and FGE there is still much evidence of them to this day

'One' livery is actually disappearing ahead of the first blue on the 360s and Anglia 170s with only 170s a handful of 315s and mk3s and locos remaining...

The 315s are almost complete but no news on the 170s being reliveried

If that was sarcasm, it was uncalled for. Not all of us are super genned-up on everything happening!

All to do with financial accounting periods, nothing to do with operational common sense!

Ahhh thats it, thank you.
