DM Interview - Thameslink

Just a quick question for those of you that have been through the DM interview for GTR.

I have an idea of what kinds of questions to expect and what I need to read up on etc.

Just one thing bugging me is the 'tell us about yourself' part.

Is that tell us about yourself as a person - skills/attributes etc. or do they mean tell us about your experience/what you have done previously etc?

I personally didn't get asked this question I would however do research on Govia, brush up on your career to date and think about why you want to be a driver and what attributes you can bring across.

I got asked this question from a personal point of view (the ice breaker), so just interests and hobbies really, what you do to escape so to speak.

I was also asked employment history with a bit of basic detail about each position.

Still no comms, tired of waiting for this as its a huge burden on my shoulders!, no one even answers the phone when you call their HR... Has anyone got any news from the recruitment team?

Seems like their recruitment department is quite busy - possibly quite small too.

Would you be able to share some info about it how they start it off and end it. Things like how long it was for just to have an overall idea.

Has everyone who has been successful so far been offered the Great Northern route? I believe thameslink route interviews will commence after they have done all the Great Northern interviews as the next course in June is for Great Northern trainee drivers.

Can you please give an overview of your interview how they started and how it ended. Not asking for specific question but just an idea.

Did you apply for thameslink (bedford - brighton) Im still waiting and in same boat as you, i think the situation as it stands:

the current interviews taken plcace were for Great Northern only as their course is before, once cleared then the company will focus on thameslink interviews i.e bedford to brighton

You can call them up again for an update?
