Hi all,

I was at Tamworth briefly a few days ago and noticed a new unit in the ticket office that appeared to be a food outlet of some kind.

Can anyone confirm this and provide any details?

Many thanks.

It's in the booking hall, I did see it a couple of weeks ago. It was open, but I didn't see what cuisine they were serving.

Given the increasing number of people who travel to London from East Midlands via London Midland and change at Tamworth (because its way cheaper) this in theory should do well.

This will be good for me! Sometimes I like heading down to Tamworth for the day to watch freight trains and for lunch I always have to sprint to the Morrisons up the road between freight trains!

I take it from the previous posts that the little mobile food outlet thing that was out front when I went there last year has gone?
I had a bacon butty and mug of tea on two mornings, reasonably priced and very nice.

I hope not! That was the best thing about Tamworth on a cold morning! And every day at Tamworth seems to be cold

It was still open for business when I was there on 1 April 2015

As far as I know the mobile snack bar outside of the station is still there and hopefully won't be affected as I've heard they're good. I'm not sure I've ever bought anything from there as I usually don't have any cash on me and not sure if they accept debit cards - especially just for a coffee. Does anyone know who runs the new food outlet? I think it's some kind of chain/franchise outlet.
