Just seen four Network Rail snow ploughs parked up at Doncaster. Were these procured recently following the disruption in recent winters?

yes - how do you do that? is it magic?

Secret moderator tricks. I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you ;)

But seriously in the top right of any post click this highlighted bit:

singlepost view.jpg

That should open a new window or tab with just that post and then just copy/past the URL like you would with any normal link and anyone who follows that link will be sent to a single post.

Regarding the Beilhack plough, its interesting to note that it should not be hump shunted. The sad irony being that its not possible to hump shunt anything anymore :(

it is odd that label. It appears on many items of equipment - i suppose it is easier than changing the label to read not to be loose shunted rather than hump or loose shunted!

As you say I've also noted it on bogie tank wagons. Apologies for going way off topic here but how much loose shunting takes places nowadays? I guess there must be some but surely there can't be many examples of it.
