Hi all
It's total chaos at Clapham junction!
Southern trains are basically at a standstill and there is 377 units stuck between Wandsworth common and Clapham junction due to part of the conductor rail rising up and literally ripping all the pick up shoes off these units!
There are sets stuck in the platform damaged unable to move and also between Wandseorth common and Clapham.
Do they need locomotive assistance to recover and move these units? Platform 13 is tapped off as is 12 with damaged 377 units in them.
Just wondered.

If an EMU has lost it's collector shoes then it has no means of collecting traction current. Does that answer your question?
