To start with lots and lots of driving on the Electrics from Liv St to Shenfield. I've heard that Crossrail want the Electrics to themselves, if so I highly doubt you will be coming onto the main lines.

Hi, new to the forum.
Just wondered if any of the experienced drivers that have already signed the contract for MTR could give any further info??
What are the T&C's they are offering? ie: 4/5 day week, Sunday working, Rota, Annual....etc etc! All the usual stuff really but would be helpful to know.

Thanking you all in advance!

It will be tough no doubt, although part of the mainline, going back and forth for two years will be hard.

But my interview was with the head of ops, and like he said, by next year we will be learning the traction, and after that the roads.

Do not forget as part of the t&c's, we will be doing other tasks, like customer service, passenger assistance at various stations on the network. On driver money.

No.

I am waiting, and as soon as it comes through the door, the notice goes out. It is already written.

They are trying to finalise the t&c's I think. I know I will start in July.

.

As opposed to what?

Not going back and forth on a longer bit of railway between two points?

Have they said how they're going to run the west side before through trains are running?

As they take over the Heathrow and reading branches before the central opens.

Got contract through the post today, very straight forward and half the size of my current TOC's if not less. Sunday ain't part of the working was the shocker (Sunday is outside the working week, but there is a commitment to work rostered sundays for which premium rate applies) but 35hrs Monday to Saturday. Also pay rise and new contract by 1st may 2016.

Anyone else got there contract?

If you don't work your committed Sundays what are they going to do?
Overtime is not compulsory so they can't force you to work them!

will see how it works but current Toc do the same and we had to work it unless you could find somebody else willing to take your sunday so is plausible they might do same thing

Constant death by metros, I certainly wouldn't do that even for £55k a year but good look to those of you that are. Will whizz by you at 90 on the mains :D (here's hoping we don't have to stop at Romford regularly in future)

Some would like more main line trains calling at Romford rather than less, so don't build your hopes up too much :( . Those two years on metros will soon pass, with the big increase in drivers and the requirement to learn new routes out west the monotony won't last too long.

To start with lots and lots of driving on the Electrics from Liv St to Shenfield. I've heard that Crossrail want the Electrics to themselves, if so I highly doubt you will be coming onto the main lines.

No change to the current situation, AGA and MTR will both use mains or electrics as required, Sunday engineering work will see to that. The 'Crossrail want the electrics' rumour has been doing the rounds in the mess rooms but has no substance at all.

Got the contract, but very light on t&c's. Need to refer to the drivers restructuring framework agreement.

25 days ad hoc, and 8 day bank/public holidays, which if you work you get back, or get paid 8 hours.

It will be very interesting working with the company and seeing all the changes during the next few years.

Probably started by the same people who think that 'Crossrail want the Reliefs to themselves' out of Paddington.

Except for the freights, and the remaining GW services, and the two track timetable on Sundays for engineering etc etc...

Nah I'm Great Eastern, got main line recently. Been loads of rumours floating around about CrossRail. I know there are quite a few that are going over from AGA.

I have been successful for the trainee program which starts in September, I am coming across from Virgin and was wondering about the pension if it is final salary or not?

How long before you were contacted to inform you that you were successful?
