Over recent weeks I've noticed an Arriva-liveried partial open-topper parked in Shrewsbury (Coton Hill area). Anybody know what it is, or whose premises?

(There's a couple of coaches and a single-decker bus on the same site)

Only a guess but the open top bus could be for Shrewsbury Town after they have won promotion to League 1.

The fans already have a taxi booked to get them to celebrations which will be held in one of the phone boxes ;)

Don't know how to load streetview so cannot help there. It's in the V between the Chester & Crewe lines north of Shrewsbury station - visible from Crewe trains, prob not from Chester line.

Doubt it's for immediate use (football or otherwise) as it looks a bit rough. Nor is it the Ironbridge/ Shrewsbury opentopper.

Go to maps.google.com and find the street, click the orange person icon (bottom right corner) and drag it to where you want to view on the map.

This means its probably not owned by a bus operator, more likely to be taxed as a private light goods vehicle (no I don't really know what that means either ) as an operator would have their own yard to keep it in.

Or a preservation group/individual.
Private light goods seems more common with closed tops becoming motor homes.

It was G652UPP which is being converted for export.

The site you observed form the train was that of Shropshire Bus & Coach the trading name of 2 Limited Companies which despite the search above are correctly listed with VOSA ! (Try SY1 2**)

From 1/5/15 both companies were sold to GHA Coaches of Ruabon and the Olympian left the site as it is owned by me personally and not the business.
