Hey there, so I was part of the 2013 intake, meaning I got through the telephone interviews and to stage one assessments was told I did very well, but failed the group bourdon

My six months is up now, therefore I emailed FTPE and they said that I'd go straight back into assessment once a vancancy becomes available.

Does anyone have any idea as to when the next intake will be?

Don't hold your breath a May course was booked, but cancelled last minute. There's rumours flying about a new course but like I say don't hold your breath!!

Course number Five started about Two months ago and with the franchise changes early next year I wouldn't think that there will be any trainee driver positions for years.

Why? Most of the new franchises stipulate more trains and more services as far as i know. Cant have trains without drivers.

I remember the last franchise change and it was a nightmare, recruitment freeze
