Is anyone else having problems using the NRE website in terms of the via/avoid option? Over the last few days whenever I've tried to use this function, when I click 'add', instead of then allowing me to select 'update train times', it takes me back to my previous search without the add or via taken into account. If I try again via 'edit journey' it just has the same effect.

In case it was a browser issue I've tried using the site with both Chrome and Internet Explorer, but got the same result.

Had exactly the same problem. To me, it's not an easy website even when it does work properly!

As you can't use the National Rail Enquiries (NRE) website for buying tickets, are you using this to simply plan a journey, or to determine NRE's interpretation of the Routeing Guide?

Hm, I actually managed with Internet Explorer. But apparently you have to set those options on the front page already. This seems to be the case since they added the (do not) change at option. If you then want to use another browser you can just copy the URL across but you'll have to add the railcard again, which doesn't seem to be a problem.

To determine NRE's interpretation of the booking guide.

This is getting stranger because the reason I had to try and add the via/avoid later as because on Chrome the drop down list on the NRE home page does not include this option-you have to add it as an edit later-but I've just noticed that the Internet Explorer version does have it on the drop-down!?

Had issues with NRE on Safari (iPhone 5). It will correctly respond to the first via/avoid option input, but any further via/avd points are ignored, even after clearing the previous one, and in some cases it's mashed them all together and come up with a convoluted selection of journeys. Very weird
