I bought a 7 day season ticket derby to bristol templemeads and wished to travel burton to bristol last sunday when replacement buses were operating from burton station. The scheduled service was bus from burton (18.05), arrive derby 18.30 Then the train 1836 derby to bristol (via Leicester as the alternative route).
The bus at burton was 10 mins late arriving and then arrived derby at 1837, missing my connection by 1 minute. Next train was an hour later from Derby.
1. Will this be taken into account if I submit my weekly ticket for compensation? I suspect not ?
2. If I had purchased a normal return ticket would I have received compensation as my overall delay was over an hour?
3. Is it advisable to always submit season tickets for compensation given the way in which it is calculated (average punctionality I think?)
Thanks.
