Hi,

Watching a Londonist Londonist vid about Heathrow express and noticed this; a European plug socket in the cab of the 332.

Any ideas/explanations? I know they were built in Europe but you'd have thought Siemens/CAF would have thought about it being in the UK?

Might fit an electric shaver in...!

No, the prongs on a shaver plug are too narrow to fit in a European standard 'CEE 7' socket.

Good observation btw, I didn't see it in the cab when I first watched the video.

What I find just as odd is the dock for the halo lamp. We don't have such things! :(

They almost certainly got used during testing - smoking in the workplace in Germany carried on far longer than most european countries.

360s also, but I believe they came in before smoking in workplace was stopped :).

There is a rechargeable Halo option, I was trawling through my bag last week in boredom whilst on a spare that was dragging and I came across the HALO instructions, which detailed charging up a HALO battery pack. I've never seen one, though.

I know 365s have/had ash trays as the cab door was open one night and you could see it was full. This was some time ago, BTW. No chance of anyone getting into trouble for me mentioning it! We're talking Wagn days.
