TfL have sent an email warning about lines affected by the NR strike next week. Most are predictable, but also affected was the Waterloo and City, which is self contained and transferred to LRT/TfL control 20 odd years ago.

Does Network Rail still have some sort of involvement with this line?

Traction current for the Waterloo & City line is managed by the Network Rail electrical control room at Raynes Park.

Thanks, that's a bit unfortunate!
Given that no trains will be running into Waterloo, which makes up the overwhelming majority of customers; the impact won't be too large I should have thought.
