Is there a list of Parliamentary Trains with details of where they run and when?

Of course, true to form as with many Wikipedia pages, this one is littered with mistakes, as many of these simply cannot possibly be classed as "parliamentary" services, which are used primarily to keep line closures at bay by common understanding. For example, how the 2315 Stratford - Oxford, which is used for route-knowledge retention purposes for Chiltern crews, can possibly be classed as a "parly" is beyond me.

This may help

http://www.psul4all.free-online.co.uk/2015.htm

EDIT***

Sorry on looking these seem not to be parliamentary services but just anomalies to regular services.

Appologies

Many of them are, as the random chords all need regular passenger traffic over them. Many "parly" trains have a useful second purpose as route learning for diversions; well, the route-learning is the main purpose.

Though a PSUL isn't necessarily a parly, and a parly doesn't necessarily run over an unusual line.

But yeah, that wiki page is rubbish!

And there's the idea that if it's wrong you correct it...

I don't participate in writing informal articles like Wikipedia ones, as I don't get my name associated with anything but the most stringently checked academic papers, and I know far too little on railway subjects imo to reach that sort of standard. It is just not my thing.

There will be other more knowledgeable people than me on such subjects who are more at ease participating in this open-source project and they would be in a far better position than me to do the editing.

The problem is that a parliamentary service is rather a subjective term, so there is no possibility for stringent checks of what does and does not count. I personally write about Bristol stations on wiki, and am slowly getting them all to Good Article status when bored at work.
