Is there some ongoing issue with FGW HST's losing air reservoir pressure? There have been recent substitutions of some HST services out of Paddington with a lesser train. On train staff have hinted about some issue and the need to re-manufacture some equipment.

My experience has been with several morning trains from Oxford-Paddington and the evening train from Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill.

Luckily with the latter, a lot of people get off at Maidenhead so the crowding subsides.

Substituted with a 180.

If there aren't enough HSTs due to failures sets get stepped up and in the peaks it means a Worcester HST subbed for a 180, while a 16x works in the place of a 180.

Also testing is being carried out on Sundays to Hereford (due to replace the SO 166 to Hereford and back), so that 180s can also use that route when required (unless worked by Bristol Crews)

Not sure I understand why 'testing' is needed to Hereford, as the 180s worked on services there for almost all of their previous stint with FGW, including a Sunday duty long before they took over most Cotswold Line services in 2004. Do you mean a gauging run?
