ATW 175s to Birmingham

On a related note, the other day I was at New Street, saw the back end of the train to International go out and it was a 150/2 on the back!* That's pretty rare?

*Unless of course the low light conditions were playing tricks on me!

Not a candidate for "Frequently Requested Diagrams". If it was a 150 it would have been a last minute substitution due to shortages which would have entailed some juggling round because either the inward or the return runs to/from the Cambrian where only 158s can work. There is, I think, a 150+158 combo on a Sunday morning which runs Shrewsbury/Birmingham/Chester.

Sorry I wasn't suggesting it for the thread... it just seemed the most appropriate place for the question at the time!

Trivia time then - last scheduled working of 150/2s to Birmingham New Street discounting the current ATW visits. I wonder whether central trains/ London Midland had some sets which were kept in their original formation, as opposed to acting as a centre car between two 150/1 driving cars?
