Travelling from Birmingham to Wolverhampton this afternoon, when my train stopped at Tipton there was an XC Voyager with pax standing in the opposite platform, the time was 15.28.

I'm virtually certain that XC have nothing which stops at Tipton, anyone know what it was doing? I hadn't noticed anything ahead of it in the previous few minutes.

Probably a Red signal. Seriously, trains don't necessarily stop at a red signal due to a train in front. Could be other reasons, signalling failure etc.
