Hi guys, not sure if this is the right section for this, but I'm sure a mod can move it if not!

I've recently been working on creating two overlay maps -

- Sheffield train lines - all the train lines and stations that have existed in Sheffield, blue being current, red being former

- Sheffield & Rotherham tram lines - all the tram lines that have existed in Sheffield and Rotherham, blue being current, red being former, and yellow for the proposed tram-train pilot

On both maps you can tick or untick between old and new - I didn't know this until yesterday so I'm having to painstakingly move all the old lines and stations to its own tab - d'oh!

I wouldn't be surprised if someone on here has already done this, or something similar, but I thought you might be interested if not.

Obviously I'd love feedback on anything I've missed out/got wrong - the tram lines project is still a work in project mind!

Cheers, Lee

Nice map, only thing to add I'm aware of is the Supertram Link buses!
Also I recall hearing of tramway extension plan for Dore to be built in HS2 times.

Lots being considered currently...
- Tram or Tramtrain between the city centre and Dore Village via potentially Dore Station.
- Tram extension to Northern General
- Tram stop bypasses on the Meadowhall tram line to enable express trams between HS2 & city centre
- Second cross city line

Thanks for confirming Dore plan.
What's the point of "express trams" to the city centre when a railway does the same?

Ever tried walking up from Midland Station to the city centre ?

I've been to Sheffield lots and never used tram or bus from station to centre. Last time it was raining heavy and me and my brother got soaked after returning from a Burton Vs. Fleetwood game. We went to McDonalds for tea as it was late with a long wait. Signage wasn't too good.

If someone did want a tram the station already has a tram connection, both Sheffield and Meadowhall (South for HS2?).

I guess walking is fine but would be difficult for many less able.
