Somewhere, not in London
350/1s have had their shoegear removed.

Only taking 31mins looks good though, perhaps some 75/90mph north of Harrow would be nice...?

Afternoon everyone!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I've noticed that this train runs as a London Midland service via the DC lines - what stock is actually used to run on this service? The 350/1s are dual voltage but do not have tripcocks.

No, its a 378 on the DCs. The 313 is the timing load (at origin) and nothing more. See also 0040 ex Watford

trc666 asked a legitimate question.

The open data, which sites such as Realtimetrains/OpenTrainTimes/Railday use, does not show what stock is allocated to work a service. It's just a timing load.

In some cases, multiple timing loads are used, in which case only one is shown.

In many cases this indicates what type of train is likely to be allocated to the service, but not always.

To give two examples, all GC services to/from Sunderland appear to be "pathed" as "High Speed Train (HST125)" (only some are booked to be HST) and all Chiltern services between London & Birmingham & beyond appear to be "pathed" as "Class 158 (Express Sprinter) DMU" (none are booked to be Class 158, and some are loco hauled)
