Following the new station signs at Theobalds Grove being spelt wrong in LO's first week of operation of WA suburban lines, apparently now new signs at Walthamstow Central have been spelt wrong too!

You would have thought they were being extra careful after the first time

All the more reason for me to hate London Overground. Fewer seats, slower journeys, I just want to punch them <D

You really hate a TOC so much because they have "slow" journeys that you want to punch them?

I didn't say I had a rational reason for hating them. They are just so smug, "look at us, look how amazing we are" and then they go and mis-spell signs.

Also, they actually time their trains to take longer on purpose, to avoid the risk of not running to time!

Plus I'm not a huge fan of TfL in general, for example on the Met, they replace 3+2 seating with longitudinal seating on an outer suburban route, then again increase journey times by removing fast services, and think they can advertise it as a service "modernisation".

Just like every single other train operator.
Which is why my local Grantham-Nottingham train takes the same length of time whether it stops or not enroute - and takes ten minutes more than it did at Sprinterisation in the 80s.

Aaarrgh - 'Fewer seats' please - I don't want to start hearing those voices again.

Apologies - I am usually very good with grammar:lol:

LO journeys take noticeably more time, however. West Croydon to Norwood Junction can be done in 5 minutes on Southern, but some LO trains take 8.

Strangely enough crossrail is advertising a reduction of journey times by 20% when travelling through gwml stations the only thing I can think is the more frequent trains will reduce dwell times.

Most of the time savings will come from not having to change trains. As well as potentially faster services as electrics are more efficient than diesels, and a reduced amount of time spent waiting on the platform.

The that EMUs generally have better accelerating capabilities than DMUs might be the fact that will reduce the journey times as they will be able to reach faster speeds much quicker

I am surprised that TFL managed to do a mistake with a station they have been operating at since they were formed yet cant do LO signs properly

Anyone ever noticed how slow LO trains come into stations though compared to other TOCs?

Not sure if this one's been mentioned before. White Hart Lane missing from the maps on trains.

I am feeling VERY embarrassed on behalf of LO, that's at least 3 mistakes now. Is that a result of poor management on TfL's behalf?

I must say that LO have achieved things never achieved before.
What will they come up with next? "This is a London Overground service from Enfield town to Liverpool Lime Street"
