Well HSTs stop at all stations between St Davids and Paignton and we also have a 6 car school day diagram from Exeter to Paignton so im guessing all services can be strengthened.
Is the 158 still down there (I noticed there has been one down for the Dawlish Carnival the other week)?
I wonder if there will be any 6 car Pacer services (used to be booked for the afternoon school train service, and return)
The reason for splitting the Paignton to Exmouth services at Exeter st Davids is because of the shorter platforms on the Exmouth branch compared to the Paignton line.
HSTs have SDO, the West units don't, the 6 car stop board is very specific in the stock it relates to!
I know (no guessing involved) that 6 coach 150 wont fit!
You are guessing and generalising on a subject you obviously know very little about but insist on posting as if you do know!
Is the airshow just Saturday or Sunday too?
The 6 coach is 2x143s and 1x150 from and to St Davids only, the only other 6 coach formation allowed on that route is 3x143, any other 6 coach formation is too long for a few platforms.Hi, Its interesting you state that SDO is not used on DMUs in the West. However on School days the 15:57 arrival in to Paignton from Exmouth and 16:12 departure from Paignton are 6 coach trains. Admittedly the 6 coaches on the 16:12 only go as far as Exeter St Davids.
That train stops at all stations.
My second point is that when travelling from Exeter to Exmouth. Quite often only the front door of the front coach is open at St James Park. That has to be SDO doesn't it?

The Vulcan visit hit it's funding target, so it's going to be even busier
Interestingly some trains that would normally stop at Exeter St Thomas are not stopping there this Saturday.
The 150 is attached to the 14.23 Exmouth - Paignton at St David's, having worked down ecs from Bristol.
You assume incorrectly! No - Mon - Fri only. I assume it still works in holidays as the 150 then works an Exeter Central - Paignton train before returning to Bristol.

150002 is on an ordinary triangle diagram starting with the 0915 Exeter st David's to Exmouth then to Barnstaple , the shuttle is 5 coaches not 7 with 150926 and 150261.
