West Coast Railways on Cambrian

According to RTT there's a west coast light loco running down Cambrian on the 18th.

Presumably this is a proving run for their etcs fitted 37's.

Turned out to be NR 97 doing run up coast line tomorrow still showing on RTT as WC operator.

Almost certainly one of the above. Coast run today, coast and back to Salop tomorrow.

Used to do the run from Mach to London regularly when I was a young un on the sprinters. Excuse my ignorance but does anyone know what the light locomotive was? I remember class 37s on the line, and even a HST once I think, but can't remember too many other locos running that route...

Network Rail Class 97 a rebuilt Class 37, friend who saw it in Aber said it was full of West Coast Railways employees. Clearly a training/route learning run so hopefully some good news about the return of charter traffic to the Cambrian.

It is such s lovely line that deserves more use
