If you are visiting Hayle and saw me today, I hope you enjoyed your trip, feel free to register and let us know how you got on.

Weather much improved compared to yesterday's dire forecast!

As a local generally speaking we avoid Hayle, St Ives and Newquay in summer. They become overrun with tourists and lose their charm a bit. Visit on a sunny day out of season and they are much more enjoyable places

A station whose shelter is rather useless in the rain which I had a good 40 minute stand around for waiting for a 150 to take me back east on Wednesday when soaked through from a ride from St Erth.

Potentially could have walked quicker. It's about 1.5 miles, so about a 30 minute walk for the average person.

Ride as in by bike (with the wait on the platform for the service to take me from Hayle to Camborne)

As one who lived across the river from Hayle from Lelant, with it's views of the gas works (back then) and the caravan parks, Hayle was always a candidate for a John Betjamin style reduction, hopefully missing the homes of my sadly fewer surviving friends who still live there.
