Please stay behind the yellow line at all times.

(image shows a motor vehicle dangling off the edge of the platform onto one of the running lines at Kempton Park station)

Up in the north we only get trains with designated spaces for bikes and wheelchairs, we're getting left out again by South West and their trains with designated Chelsea Tractor spaces ... <D

Someone trying to demonstrate that motor-rail could make a comeback if only the sliding doors were wide enough

Well we've heard of bridge strikes. Now we get track strikes. Gearjammer will be along shortly to explain how it's never the fault of the driver

Stolen vehicle perhaps. Muppets driving just wanted it dumped and didn't care where
Possibly, though dumping it there would be harder than just leaving it in a car park - more likely to be captured on CCTV as well.

So, I'm looking at pictures of Kempton Park station, and Google earth overhead images, and I'm even more confused

Don't know what happened there but the I did upload the image in the original post then it somehow disappeared-I had to head to work so I was unable to check what was actually visible in the post.

My first thought was that it was at Hampton but I then realised that it couldn't be due to the tree line so it must be Kempton Park on the downside which opens out onto the racecourse car park. Odd that it would happen at a racecourse station when the most recent similar incident took place at Esher (Sandown Park racecourse).

This isn't the first time its happened in this area, if you remember a few years back an old boy somehow managed to get a car onto the up platform at Esher and only by god fortune didn't end up on the track of the SWML.

I'm just amazed that it's even possible to get a car onto the platform. However I don't know the station layout.

Yes you're special alright! ;) And you have to be even more special to work for my lot! <:D:-P
Can't be any worse than my lot, in fact I preferred your lot but your roster is bloomin horrible now so there isn't much to choose between them now.

It's a shame it didn't (somehow) happen on the London Underground, as it would have been another tube strike... (I'll get my coat) ;) :) :p

Not one to judge of course....However being a Mitsubishi Shogun and at Kempton Park, one would be forgiven for casting the view that it might well have been a member of the travelling fraternity who'd had a few too many sherbets. :)

On the plus side, at least he had his headlights on...
