Put your house on Villa getting relegated. We are utterly awful. No redeeming features whatsoever. It's going to be a loooooong season

I predict that a home draw against Huddersfield Town in the FA cup 3rd round in early January will spark a revival. Whether Tim Sherwood is still at the helm is another matter...
If that game was to take place tomorrow you would beat us. We have the unwashed filth from the wrong side of the tracks on Tuesday in the league cup. I have no doubt they will beat us. Sherwood will still be here I'm sure but only because we can't afford to pay him off
I would put money on both the North East clubs going down this year
Darlington 2....Hyde United 3
After our totally unexpected win at Darlington last week in the FA Cup qualifying round, I really feared that Darlington would extract a suitable revenge on Hyde United in this league match fixture, but amazingly, thanks to a Scott Spencer hat-trick with the winner being scored very late in the game, another Evo Stik Premier League "Mission Impossible" result came true.

You did fall away badly after reaching The Cup Final last season , this current form seems to be a continuation of that rapid descent. For you and SS4 hopefully it can be arrested before it's to late.
Quite honestly I think Sherwood is out of his depth.
When I saw Villa on the last day of last season I said "Sherwood won't be there this time next year"
I still think he will not be there for the whole campaign.
As for relegation - I'd have to consider Sunderland as early favourites.
... and the longer "the wally with the brolly" stays on, their Tyneside chums too.
I quite like McClaren, but boy did he mess Derby up last season.
It is. And it was a disgraceful tackle.
I feel very sorry for Luke Shaw.
As for Manchester United, given their then manager rang up Ryan Shawcross to make sure he was OK after almost destroying Aaron Ramsey's career with a similar "tackle", I guess that's karma repaying them nicely.
The cup final that they didn't turn up too.
Quite honestly I think Sherwood is out of his depth.
Anyone for Big Sam?
Must be the Lad Bible effect
Hyde United 7....Stamford 1
Well, something must have occurred over recent days at Hyde United because Hyde United have finally won their first HOME league match of the season last night and I suppose if you are going to finally win at home, what better than doing so with a resounding scoreline. This is their best home result since they beat Woking 7-0 at home in their first season in the Conference Premiership, before their best seven players all went of the play for Football League clubs.
Scott Spencer scored yet another hat trick, to follow on from the one he scored away at Darlington at the weekend.
Darlo went top of the Evo Stick Premier table last night with a fighting draw at Ilkeston having fallen behind and then been reduced to 10 men. Crisis? What Crisis!
( it wont last!)

GOAL - Bayern Munich 5-1 Wolfsburg
Robert Lewandowski (60 mins)
What on earth is happening? I was trying to tell you what's happened elsewhere but instead my FIFTH ENTRY IN A ROW is a Robert Lewandowski goal. And this is his best yet. Mario Gotze crosses in from the right and the Pole with a flying acrobatic volley smashes it past Diego Benaglio.

One of the most remarkable striking displays I've seen in my life. Douglas Costa crosses in from the left and there's Robert Lewandowski AGAIN! The Pole just volleys the ball home with ease from 12 yards out.

This is a striking masterclass. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like this. Robert Lewandowski, on at half-time, has scored three goals across three minutes and 22 seconds.
The Pole is found by Mario Gotze. His first shot hits the post, his second is saved by Diego Benaglio but he gets a third effort and guides it home.
And with that the game is surely over.

Unbelievable. Before I could even tell you about that goal, Robert Lewandowski has absolutely smashed in a second from 25 yards. What a strike. What a substitution. What a game.

Robert Lewandowski has been on the pitch six minutes and he's levelled it up from close range.
Is it League Cup night tonight?
Just look at what Premiership does to you. I had no idea it was League Cup night when a few years back I would have been glued to the computer if not there myself.
The enfant terrible of Chelsea, Diego Costa, has now been retrospectively charged with violent conduct by the Football Association in the match against Arsenal after the viewing of video evidence that apparently showed events that were claimed not to have been fully seen by the match officials.
What have Aston Villa and Birmingham City got in common?
They have both lost their latest cup final
The City is, will always be and always has been, ours
Now go back to your hovels you unwashed layabouts and try not to darken our door again
Nice to see Pellegrini giving some of the kids a run out, the standout was the first team debut of George Evans, local Cheadle lad who's been with MCFC since the U8s. That is pretty amazing to see a kid who's now played at every level in the City system.
Scottish League Cup
Rangers 1...St Johnstone 3
Ross County 7...Falkirk 0
