Fantastic win for Dover at Tranmere (although their fans may not think so).
Scratched Rock Ferry too!

I feel if Chelsea were to sack Mourinho they will do it after Stoke game next Saturday so it given them two weeks to get someone else in for match against Norwich.[/QUOTE]

I suspect it will be another caretaker job until the end of the season? Still Robbie DiMatteo didn't do too badly in that role a few years ago:D

Indeed and Bromley didn't do too badly winning at Lincoln City, be nice to see either of them in the football league

It'd very strange to Dover (or Bromley) in the Football League, that's for sure.

This would be seen that he cannot face the stresses of the managerial challenge afforded him in his managerial role in La Liga at Real Sociedad where he was appointed on 10th November 2014 and coming after his short managerial stay at Manchester United, would say that he lacked commitment.

With regards to the matter of David Moyes being suggested for a certain managerial role in Britain, to which I made the above posting, I thought I would see how Real Socieded fared this weekend, when drawn at home:-
Real Sociedad 2...Celta la Viga 3

Real Sociedad now have played 10 matches in La Liga this season gaining only 9 points from a possible 30 and currently lie in 15th place in the league.

If current form should continue, it will be even stranger if Forest Green Rovers also are promoted to the Football League.

No doubt the same was said about the likes of Crawley Town, Burton Albion, Morecambe, Dagenham & Redbridge plus a few others not too many years ago.

When he was appointed Manchester United Manager I took a right hammering on here for suggesting the calibre of candidate required for a major foreign job would not be found in his goodself, so why should the Man Utd position fall into his lap.

Does anyone seriously think Real Madrid would have considered him for the berth now occupied by his former Merseyside sparring partner Rafa Benitez?

Well I guess its not as far to travel

it is for me :cry::cry::cry:

It is cheap to get in, all clubs have a social club happy to sell you beer in a real glass at a normal price and you can have a pint whilst watching the match. No yellow line of death..............

Should be today. All being well
So be on your Garde ;)

So how much of a payoff did Tim Sherwood get - or did he do the honourable thing like Dick Advocaat and refuse any "pay off".

Does anyone doubt that yourself or SS4 could have managed Villa as well as Sherwood over the last 8 months ? What qualities is he perceived to have that you do not ?

I bet he's going to get over a Million Pounds for abject failure - Fat Cat or what<D

Given that a bogus doctor would quite rightly be prosecuted isn't there a case against Sherwood for being a bogus football manager;)

Mourinho out-Mourinho'ed...:D....Let the sour grapes commence.

I though the wording of that posting to be ideal in reflecting that Mourinho is now to be made subject of an individual legal action by the former Chelsea team doctor Eve Carneiro....so no one is to be left in doubt that he cannot hide behind the claim that it was just a Chelsea FC matter.

I wonder if this is a ploy by her legal advisors to concentrate minds wonderfully at all levels of Stamford Bridge.

Just seen the Netherlands friendly squad, Memphis Depay has been dropped because Danny Blind, says he isn't a team player.

Which would be entirely appropriate when you consider they haven't looked like a team at all in their last few games.

I reckon Wales will be without Bale and Ramsey, but that's going to be a bigger blow for us than Depay and Van Persie will be to the Dutch.

Not a great start to the Garde era in the Villa game either (although I know technically he's only watching tonight).

I know it is just football banter but can I request that we do it in moderation please and be a bit mindful of the feelings of other teams' supporters. The last thing I am sure everyone wants is for this to turn nasty.

Meanwhile if anyone feels like they want to have a team to laugh at, you can all do with mine atm - man against boys. *shudder*

(Not to say that I am not proud of the achievements so far, but recent performances really put a damper on spirits.)

The result of the 3-1 Monday night match defeat at Spurs should give him reasons to consider why Aston Villa are where they are in the Premiership and a new pair of eyes to see where team strengthening needs to take place.

Oh dear, it appears to point directly at him, as he has now been charged by the FA with misconduct in relation to his use of "language" and of his behaviour in the weekend game against West Ham United.

Update on the above

Mourinho did not appeal against the charge and has just been given a one match stadium ban and a £40,000 fine by the Football Association.

Burnham 1...Winchester City 4 (Mitford 87; Glasspool 22, Bentley 27, 82, Roberts 71)

Another three points for Winchester City as they comprehensively defeat a Burnham side that has taken just 4 points at home all season. Although the coach arrived 20 minutes late, hit congestion on the M4 and then arrived to a very foggy pitch, the visitors started brightly and took the lead after 23 minutes, before doubling it four minutes later. The home side enjoyed some dominance in the second half but with 20 minutes left Adam Roberts beat four men to fire home and then with eight minutes left Warren Bentley provided the icing on the cake, although the hosts got a consolation late on. The win sees Winchester climb up to third in the table, although the two sides directly below them play tomorrow.

Such a shame that the Football League and Premier League are not able to offer that. I can watch a game of cricket at the Oval with my son and enjoy a pint or two but I can't do the same watching Derby County. It's something that I think clubs should be able to offer for pre-season friendlies if nothing else.

Another planet...
Huddersfield Town have terminated the contract of manager Chris Powell after only 3 wins from the opening 15 league games. Slightly surprised by the timing but apparently the decision wasn't made solely on results. Last night's game against Reading showed signs that we might have turned the corner... Oh well...

Rumours now that former USA international David Wagner may be taking over after leaving Borussia Dortmund last week, he's apparently turned down the chance to join Jurgen Klopp's backroom team at Liverpool in favour of a manager's position.

Jackie McNamara is the new York City manager. Mixed responses but overall edging towards the positive side. Can't be any worse than Wilcox can he?

In order to quash any scurrilous rumours to the opposite, my absence tonight until now on this website is nothing to do with a similarly named SYDORCHUK who wears the number 16 shirt for Dynamo Kiev who was substituted at half time in the Champions League game against Chelsea tonight...
