I have booked some tickets to travel from Manchester to Llandudno on the 0850 departure nest week, the service splits at Chester - with one portion for Holyhead and the other for Llandudno. What units are booked for this service, im presuming the Llandudno portion will be the rear 2 carriages.

Also can anyone tell me when travelling from Manchester to Llandudno / Holyhead which side is the best to sit on for scenery?

Cheers in advance

Sit on the right hand side and you can see the sea, sit on the left and you can see the motorway. Make your decision ;)

Booked to be 2 x 2 Class 175 units. Definitely the right hand side for the scenery.

It's booked 2x158 but not unknown for at least 1 of the units to be a 150.

It's usually the Llandudno set which is then the 150, and it stays on Llandudno-Manchesters the rest of the day.

On occasions, its just been 1 x 158 from Manchester, with the Llandudno portion starting at Chester.

The Holyhead portion goes on to work to Birmingham Int. hence to the Cambrian so obvious 158 should be working that portion.
