Hello Ladies and Gents,

First of all i'd like to introduce myself to all of yous. My name is Ryan I am Ex Army 10 years service. Spent the last 3 years being a bodyguard in Iraq. Suddenly hitting 30 iv decided to change careers :| . I am thinking of doing the OLEC level 2 course with AKONA training.

My question is would I stand good chance of employment and if so would it be mostly working away? Im totally new to this industry please be brutally honest folks.

Network Rail are keen to employ ex-servicemen, as can be seen from this link.

I don't know if this gives you any advantage over anyone else but it's certainly worth looking into.
