The system has today, Failed. Again. All down to Axle Counters at Ulceby. The Barton on Humber Branch is abandoned, again. This all alongside on-going regular failures of various OD Crossings. Modern technology at its best. Modern technology designed to supposedly give a better service. Somehow, i doubt the TOCs and FOCs have noticed any improvement, let alone the poor passengers who rely on the Barton Branch and intermediate stations. Joke. I wonder if the Light Railway will be used to divert freight...... probably not.

We had that on Tuesday, too. Stopped at Barnetby because of signal failure. Given that they've had the line closed on Sundays for this it can't be going down well.

It's to close Signal Boxes, and push the operation in to the ROCs, rather than enhance any service.

Yes close signal boxes and reduce overheads of staff by getting rid of them, how many staff at York now look after this area as against when the boxes was manned?

Better known as progress ?
