Hi there.

Does anyone know any free websites for checking which engines will be working which trains, I want to primarily use it to check freight / Network Rail trains to see if they have anything worth going out to see on it.
I know there are subscription websites like WWrail etc., but thought I'd ask if there were any free ones before I pay!

Thanks

Your best bet is probably the Yahoo gen sites.

As PHILIPE alludes to there isn't actually an official public source of this information at the present time.

Sorry, what do you mean by Yahoo gen sites? Could you link to an example?

Yahoo Gen groups are just groups of enthusiasts who post what they have seen where and when (occasionally someone may have seen TRUST/TOPS). The best unofficial source of this is probably Freightmaster and it is subscription.

But the official data itself is not for public. Not even for staff, I can see rolling stock allocations for my own TOC on a phone app but not for any others.
