Youtube suggests it was 800002.
Noticed that the actual times for that move on RTT indicate that it did Hitchin to Peterborough, 44+ miles in 27 mins. Not bad if it was on diesel.

Was in fact a five car Class 800 for GWR heading up to Old Dalby for testing. It was timed for 125mph which would be easily done in a five car so I'm not surprised. Is there a link to this YouTube video?

That's a good video for showing the seat (and floor) height difference between the driving vehicles and the vehicles fitted with engines.

Probably for advertising purposes, won't have them removed until delivery is due and that is a while off yet. Wonder why the GWR one hasn't done the same?

Ah yes that does show the seat height well indeed. Looks great even in the white, and looks very powerful even on diesel.
