I may be travelling Mid April on the SCR, does anyone know if the line will be reopened all the way by then or is it likely to be bus connection to / from Appleby?

No chance of it being repaired by then. It's a major landslip which according to Network rail is still moving.

Just to concur with D6975, it will be many months yet. It is so far off they cannot even give an estimated date yet of when it will be completed. Such as shame.

Yes it is a shame, odd as I just checked on a toc website and for 14 April it shows as if the train goes all the way through, but for 07 April, it does show a red triangle and a change enroute at Appleby which I presume is the bus replacement. Oh well, maybe I shall just do the Appleby / Settle section by train then.

NRE is slightly confusing as it shows both the train and the buses. But if you click on the details for the train it tells you there's a RRB.
