Hi,

If I have a 7-day Oyster season and use it for 1 day, is it possible at the end of day 1 to get a refund on the remaining portion of the ticket?

If so, how would I go about it (especially given the ticket office closures), and more importantly, how would I get it back?

I often expect to do a week's work for a customer but on the first day dependencies may crop up which means I need to push the work back.

Thanks.

If you have a Contactless Payment Card, you may find this more suited to your needs in future, as this has a weekly price cap based on your usage. Using a CPC means you don't need to commit to a weekly Travelcard in advance.

Where did you load the Travelcard on to your Oyster?

That only applies if jobs always start on a Monday. A weekly season ticket can start on any day, whereas weekly capping is strictly Monday to Sunday.

As for cancelling a weekly, I don't know if it is possible for weeklies. The best bet would be to ask the customer service staff at an LU station, they can access functions on the ticket machines that are not normally available.

Cancellation can sometimes be done online, but requires disabling the whole card and refunding the deposit and unused credit as well as the season ticket.
