I understand now you can ask for compensation for a delay in physical money rather than rail vouchers.

I've not made a claim for a while, so not sure how you go about requesting compensation in this manner. Is the form updated to allow for this, do you need to request it separately, or can you cash them in at a ticket office?

The TOC in concern in this instance is Transpennine Express following today's signalling problems at Seamer.

Tick the relevant box on the form:

EMT have recently amended their Delay Repay form to state they will pay by by cheque unless you specifically request RTVs by ticking a box on the form. I assume other TOCs will do/have done the same.

Which, if you are claiming against VTWC, they will ignore and send an RTV.

They've done that to me twice now.

Same here, with Southern.

I notice now though that RTVs issued in respect of a "Southern" branded claim can now be cashed in at any ticket office branded as: Southern, Great Northern, Gatwick Express or Thameslink. There is no 1 month limit for doing this unlike South Eastern. You are not required to take a delay repay covering letter either unlike London Midland.

ScotRail still send you RTV's, no option to claim a cheque on web form, instead they want you to go to any staffed ticket office within 28 days to exchange it for cash

Snap they have ignored both mine and my parents requests for cash.

Swimming in these things.
