I've recently been reading an out of print book on Northern Ireland's buses during the Troubles. It mentioned the railways in passing and I've wondered if there's a similar book on the railways? Or is there a more in depth history that covers that time period amongst others? I've had a look around and there's quite a few books on Northern Ireland's railways, so just seeking recommendations.

Cheers!

I also ordered the book Dark Days and Brighter Days, wrote by Edwin McMillan, a former railway employee and railway enthusiast of NIR. I found it an easy book to read without being too technical in anyway. He describes very well what it was like to work and travel on the railway during the troubles.

I must go back over there and do the Larne branch sometime and the Enterprise between Belfast & Dublin.
