I just noticed this fare turned up on BRFares recently, but it's not on the ticket machines at Crewe. Is this a limited time thing coming up soon, or an error? Would buy the heck out of these tickets if I could.

It was a promotion that was done in January. I did indeed buy a lot of them![emoji1]

Not an error, it's a regular fare (on VT - there's a cheaper LM equivalent).
Time restrictions are extensive, which is why you might not have seen it on ATMs.
I usually find it on the VT site, where clicking on "other fares" at the bottom of the pricing page will give you a list of all the fares.
Click on the fare to get valid trains.
The results above show single ticket prices, based on the fastest available journey, to offer more flexibility to our customers.
If you are making a return journey, there may be a cheaper fare available, particularly if you are travelling with a train operator other than Virgin Trains.
Please click here to check if these are available for your journey.

Ive just looked on there, according to times where the restriction would make the ticket valid, and it dosen't appear?

In which case I am wrong. It must have been temporary.
VT did have a Super Off Peak Return on Saturdays (included a Travelcard), but that seems to have gone as well.
There was no railcard discount on that one, had to book the day before.

So far as I can see, the £41.20 super offpeak day travelcard from Chester to London Zones 1 to 6 is still available for Saturdays, with validity outside the zones on Virgin Trains West Coast only but with no railcard discounts. NB it may show as an Advance on some booking systems as the outward journey to London has to be on the train specified when booking, although the return journey can be on any returning Virgin train the same day.
